Oh good!! Well then I shall most certainly attempt to tempt you (while at the same time warning that the spoilers in the post I just made tonight are HUGE spoilers. Like on the level of Snape-killed-Dumbledore kind of spoilers. So, uh, beware).
I tell everyone that DGM has some points that are reminiscent of Harry Potter while still being quite different from it--i.e. the main character, Allen, is an orphaned/abandoned teenager with a traumatic past who's been raised by an abusive master and has a scar on his face from where he was cursed when his adopted father died. He's also, potentially, some sort of 'chosen one' with a big time martyr complex and a Saving People Thing. But the overall story is about a twisted-round religious war in which the organizations ostensibly fighting the "good" fight have such dubious morals and ethics that it throws into crisis the whole notion of who/what is good at all.
No doubt I shall subject you to further ramblings when next I see you, so beware. This series is quite dear to my heart. =D
